Finding a local business

1. Open Businesses and search for the product or service you need. A category such as Footwear Shop narrows the results.
2. Read the business page. Check the address, photographs, description and recent reviews together; one field may be incomplete or old.
3. Call the number on the listing to confirm opening hours, stock, current price and directions before visiting. If WhatsApp is offered, send a brief, specific enquiry.

Example: for shoes, ask whether the required size and style are available today. A listing photo shows what was photographed, not a live stock count.

Applying for a job

1. On Jobs, check the work location, role, experience, apprenticeship requirement and application method stated in the post.
2. Send a short CV that matches the role and include a working contact number. If the post gives a direct employer contact, use it; a community group is for sharing updates unless the post explicitly accepts applications there.
3. Confirm the interview place and employer identity before travelling. Do not pay an application or placement fee just because a listing asks for one.

For a QA/QC fresher role, mention relevant pharma or API training and any completed apprenticeship clearly. Do not claim experience you do not have.

Enquiring about a property

1. On Properties, compare the location, sale or rent type, stated price and photos.
2. Ask the poster which charges are included, whether the property is still available and when you can see it.
3. Visit the property and check the poster's authority and relevant documents before paying a deposit or signing anything.

Help keep the directory accurate

If you own a listing, use our listing guidelines to add specific details and current photographs. If you notice incorrect information on someone else's listing, email website support with the page link and a clear correction.
